Experience
Alon has composed and performed in many countries including Japan, where he composed a piece for the ‘Rejoicing Sounds’ Festival in Yokohama; South Africa, where his Ancient City Blues for piano was performed by Marcel Worms; and Israel where he premiered Duel for double quartet with the Musica Nova Consort during the Bianalle for New Music in Tel Aviv, conducted by Keynan Jones. As an active band leader, Alon founded the klezmer jazz quintet TALAT in 2002. TALAT is dedicated to his original works and recorded a CD on John Zorn’s Tzadik Records mixed by the great Bill Laswell.
