Enrollment Period
We are dedicated to providing excellent and consistent instruction because we know that, in addition to regular practice, this approach leads to success in the long term. For this reason, we require enrollment on a semester basis.
Spring 2011: January 18 – May 27
(16 lessons total)
Sign up at any time during the year.
Lesson Length
We offer 30-, 45-, and 60-minute lessons to accommodate all ages and levels.
Early Termination
January 18 or earlier: full refund
January 19 – March 15: 50% refund
March 16 or later: no refund
Trial Option
Hiring the right instructor is an important decision. To help ensure a good fit of personality and teaching style, we offer the option of one trial lesson before committing to the full enrollment period. If you wish to commit to full enrollment, you may send written confirmation to your Student-Tutor Liaison within one week of the trial lesson. You will receive a credit for the trial lesson against the lesson package balance due.
Semi-Private Tutoring
Two students with similar abilities, musical goals, and compatible schedules, can share a tutor’s hourly fee.
Billing
The first payment for each semester or lesson package is due before lessons may begin. Partial semesters are pro-rated. We accept VISA, MasterCard, Discover, and checks (make checks payable to Bravissimo).
Materials Fee
Bravissimo charges a one-time materials fee of $50 upon enrollment. You will receive a welcome package shipped directly to your home containing a 250+ page musical handbook with information and exercises, an assignment and practice log, a binder with staff paper, and other helpful tools to assist your child in getting the most out of his or her lessons. Bravissimo reserves the right to charge additional materials fees at the beginning of each semester, based on the student’s needs and the tutor’s recommendations.
Cancellation Notice
We request 24 hours’ notice for any lesson cancellation except in the case of emergency or sudden illness. Late cancellations will incur a full charge and make-up sessions are not guaranteed in these cases.
Evaluation
Students will receive written progress reports within three weeks of completing each semester. They will also have the opportunity to receive tutor feedback by performing in juries and recitals.
