BENJI KAPLAN

Benji Kaplan has a well informed and flexible approach to teaching students with various learning styles and musical backgrounds, tailoring lessons to the individual needs and interests of his students. In 2003, he went to Brazil’s North East to teach jazz improvisation to students in both group and private lesson settings. Benji has taught theory, harmony, composition, improvisation, ear training, sight reading, finger-style technique for both folk and classical guitar and various picking techniques for jazz, blues and rock guitar. He has performed at Smalls Jazz Club, Dizzy’s Club, Birdland Puppets Jazz, Jules Bistro, and the Prince George Ballroom.
