Performance Opportunities
Music is meant to be performed, whether for an audience of one or one thousand. At Bravissimo, we encourage performance of all kinds. We like to see students pursue opportunities at school, at places of worship, in their communities, at competitions, and at summer festivals. It is fun and enriching to gain experience performing under a wide range of circumstances. At Bravissimo, we provide two kinds of performance experiences free of charge.
Juries
Juries are designed to assess a student’s skills and progress. They are an opportunity to perform and receive feedback from teachers other than the student's primary instructor. The jury format helps students become proficient in preparing for performances, and processing critiques from a variety of informed sources. Jury panels consist of at least three Bravissimo instructors. Jury scheduling will be contingent on demand.
Annual Recital
We hold annual recitals to give all students the chance to appear at least once a year before a live audience. These recitals are also a great way for students to chart their progress and be inspired by the performances of their peers.
I think it's very important for Sofia to do this in order to develop her confidence and her musicianship, so thanks again.
